Midtown Toronto

Midtown Toronto contains a diverse set of neighborhoods, a wealth of recreational spaces and a seemingly endless array of amenities that buyers of local resale properties can take full advantage of.

District Profile

Midtown Toronto’s southern neighborhoods are centered along Bloor Street West. In the southeast, Rosedale and Yorkville are bastions of the city’s wealthy elite, and are home to an array of upscale establishments. Further west, Koreatown and the Annex are shining examples of urban vitality, with shops and restaurants catering to a wide range of tastes and palettes. Along St. Clair Avenue West, a large number of consulates are mixed in with the luxury apartment buildings that dominate the area. Around the intersection of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue, Toronto’s second-largest office district has taken hold. Finally, Lawrence Park and Lytton Park in the north are some of the city’s oldest and highly sought-after residential districts. A network of forested ravines and walking paths (most notably the Beltline Trail) extends throughout Midtown Toronto.

Transportation in Midtown Toronto

Both Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth serve the district, and together provide subway service within walking distance of most district residences. The #512 St. Clair streetcar provides frequent service to the centre of the neighborhood, while a host of frequent bus routes service all major neighborhood thoroughfares. In addition, upon its completion in 2022 the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will provide enhanced east-west subway service along one of Midtown Toronto’s main thoroughfares. For drivers, Allen Road allows for convenient access to Highway 401.
