Project Profile

Developed by Amacon, the Parkside Village master plan calls for a community of high-rise residential buildings in the heart of Mississauga’s burgeoning City Centre. The project’s first phases were branded as Avia Condos, with Phase 1 and Phase 2 both current slated for completion in 2023. Avia will in total comprise a 50-storey building and a 37-storey one. Voya Condos’ two phases comprise the next portion of Parkside to be developed, with a 42-storey building and a 36-storey one currently on the books. At street level, the community will feature numerous retail amenities and a pedestrian-friendly environment.

The Neighborhood & Its Features

Parkside Village lies on the western edge of Mississauga City Centre, and will be within walking distance of the neighborhood’s major retail centres, transportation nodes and employment hubs:

  • The massive Square One Shopping Centre is just a short walk up Burnhamthorpe Road.

  • Parkways West Shopping Centre is a short distance to the south.

  • The Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Living Arts Centre are just steps away.

  • A campus of Sheridan College is just several blocks to the north.

  • Rabba, Whole Foods, Metro, T&T and a dazzling array of independent grocers are all nearby.

  • The serene Kariya Park is just up Burnhamthorpe.

Both MiWay and GO Transit operate large bus terminals adjacent to Square One, while MiWay also provides frequent local service along all major thoroughfares in the area. Additionally, the new Hurontario LRT will feature a station within walking distance upon its completion in 2024. For direct access to Downtown Toronto, the Cooksville GO station is a short distance to the south, while Highway 401, Highway 403 and the Queen Elizabeth Way are all readily accessible. Finally, Pearson Airport can be easily reached via car or public transit.
