West End

With both its diverse collection of neighborhoods and the variety of new resale condos and homes that are for sale here, it can easily be argued that Toronto’s West End is the city’s most vibrant and sought-after residential locale.

Neighborhood Profile

Heading west from Bathurst Street, West Queen West is one of the city’s most popular shopping and dining districts, while College and Dundas Streets form the backbone of Little Italy and Little Portugal, respectively. To the south, the formerly-industrial Liberty Village has become a hotbed for new condos and townhomes. The charming Roncesvalles Village lies between them and High Park, which (along with Trinity Bellwoods Park) serves as a popular recreational space for the entire area. Moving north, The Junction is one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods, and is also home to some of its most trendy bars & restaurants. Along St. Clair Avenue, the rapidly-redeveloping Stockyards District and culturally diverse Earlscourt are all linked by the newly rebuilt streetcar corridor along this major thoroughfare. All throughout the West End, the sheer number and variety of new resale condo and home units for sale is some of the greatest in the Greater Toronto Area.

Transportation in the West End

Line 2 Bloor-Danforth cuts through the heart of the area, and includes stops at all major north-south thoroughfares. The #501 Queen, #504 King, #505 Dundas, #506 Carlton and #511 Bathurst all provide frequent service directly into Downtown Toronto or to other popular destinations. GO Transit’s Exhibition station serves Liberty Village and the adjacent areas, while Bloor station in The Junction is a stop for both GO and the Union Pearson Express.
