Why a Domain Says DNS Pending
DNS pending means the public records do not yet match the current instructions. It is common immediately after a change.
Where to find it: Admin → Settings → Domain
What to do
- Confirm the record type, name, and value character for character.
- Remove an older record that conflicts with the same name and type.
- Confirm you edited DNS at the provider currently responsible for the domain.
- Wait for the provider to publish the change, then select Refresh.
- If it is still pending, upload screenshots of both the Red Bricks OS instructions and the provider record to Help.
Good to know
- DNS updates are not instant and different networks may see the change at different times.
- Repeatedly deleting and re-adding the same correct record can restart the wait.
