Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions
- 8,008 residential home transactions took place in April 2022, down from 13,613 in April 2021 - a decrease of 41.2%.
- When seasonal adjustments are taken into account, there was a 26.2% decrease in the number of purchases from March 2022 (8,626) to April 2022 (6,367).
April 2022 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices
- The average sale price for April 2022 was $1,254,436. This is an increase of 15% over April 2021, when it was $1,090,414.
- The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area went down by 3.6% compared to the previous month (from $1,300,082 to $1,254,436).
Monthly Market Update: New Listings
- There were 18,413 listings available for April 2022, which is a 11.7% decrease from April 2021 (when there were 20,841).
- The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 22% from April 2021, from 65% to 43%.
Real Estate Market Watch for April 2022: Days On The Market
- The average property spent 11 days on the market, compared to 11 last year - a decrease of 0%.
- Listings spent an average of 11 days on the market, which is a 10% decrease from this month last year (when they spent an average of 10).
