Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 7,114 residential home transactions took place in April 2024, down from 7,487 in April 2023 - a decrease of 5%.
• There was a 3.4% decrease in the number of purchases from March 2024 (5,500) to April 2024 (5,315).

 

April 2024 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for April 2024 was $1,156,167. This is an increase of 0.3% from April 2023, when it was $1,152,519.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 1.5% increase compared to the previous month (from $1,090,866 to $1,107,265).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 16,941 listings available for April 2024, which is a 47.2% increase from April 2023 (when there were 11,509).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 23% from April 2023, from 65% to 42%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for April 2024: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 28 days on the market, compared to 24 last year - an increase of 16.7%.
• Listings spent an average of 19 days on the market, which is an 11.8% increase from this month last year (when they spent an average of 17).
