Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 3,444 residential home transactions took place in December 2023, up from 3,090 in December 2022 - an increase of 11.5%.
• There was a 21.3% increase in the number of purchases from November 2023 (4,990) to December 2023 (6,052).

 

December 2023 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for December 2023 was $1,084,692. This is an increase of 3.2% from December 2022, when it was $1,050,569.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 2.5% increase compared to the previous month (from $1,102,627 to $1,130,263).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 3,886 listings available for December 2023, which is a 6.6% decrease from December 2022 (when there were 4,161).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has increased by 15% from December 2022, from 74% to 89%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for December 2023: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 49 days on the market, compared to 40 last year - an increase of 22.5%.
• Listings spent an average of 32 days on the market, which is an 18.5% increase from this month last year (when they also spent an average of 27).
