Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 6,213 residential home transactions took place in June 2024, down from 7,429 in June 2023 - a decrease of 16.4%.
• There was a 4.2% increase in the number of purchases from May 2024 (5,190) to June 2024 (5,406).

 

June 2024 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for June 2024 was $1,162,167. This is a decrease of 1.6% from June 2023, when it was $1,181,002.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 0.4% increase compared to the previous month (from $1,088,100 to $1,092,100).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 17,964 listings available for June 2024, which is a 12.3% increase from June 2023 (when there were 15,995).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 11% from June 2023, from 46% to 35%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for June 2024: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 30 days on the market, compared to 20 last year - an increase of 50%.
• Listings spent an average of 20 days on the market, which is a 42.9% increase from this month last year (when they spent an average of 14).
