Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 6,560 residential home transactions took place in March 2024, down from 6,868 in March 2023 - a decrease of 4.5%.
• There was a 1.1% decrease in the number of purchases from February 2024 (5,745) to March 2024 (5,680).

 

March 2024 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for March 2024 was $1,121,615. This is an increase of 1.3% from March 2023, when it was $1,107,018.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 0.7% increase compared to the previous month (from $1,090,437 to $1,083,284).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 13,120 listings available for March 2024, which is a 15.1% increase from March 2023 (when there were 11,394).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 10% from March 2023, from 60% to 50%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for March 2024: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 29 days on the market, compared to 27 last year - an increase of 7.4%.
• Listings spent an average of 20 days on the market, which is a 5.3% increase from this month last year (when they spent an average of 19).
