Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 4,646 residential home transactions took place in October 2023, down from 4,933 in October 2022 - a decrease of 5.8%.
• There was a 5% decrease in the number of purchases from September 2023 (5,125) to October 2023 (4,867).

October 2023 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for October 2023 was $1,25,928. This is an increase of 3.5% from October 2022, when it was $1,087,590.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 0.2% increase compared to the previous month (from $1,130,922 to $1,132,805).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 14,397 listings available for October 2023, which is an 38% increase from October 2022 (when there were 10,433).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 15% from October 2022, from 47% to 32%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for October 2023: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 33 days on the market, compared to 32 last year - a decrease of 3%.
• Listings spent an average of 21 days on the market, which indicates no change from this month last year (when they also spent an average of 21).
