Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 6,658 residential home transactions took place in October 2024, up from 4,611 in October 2023 - an increase of 44.4%.
• There was a 25% increase in the number of purchases from September 2024 (4,978) to October 2024 (6,658). 

 

October 2024 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for October 2024 was $1,135,215. This is an increase of 1.1% from October 2023, when it was $1,123,390.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 2.4% increase from September 2024 to October 2024 (from $1,106,860 to $1,135,215).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 15,328 listings available for October 2024, which is a 4.3% increase from October 2023 (when there were 14,700).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has increased by 12% from October 2023, from 31% to 43%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for October 2024: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 43 days on the market, compared to 33 last year - an increase of 30.3%.
• Listings spent an average of 27 days on the market, which is a 28.6% increase from this month last year (when they spent an average of 21).
