Real Estate Market Watch: Residential Transactions

• 4,642 residential home transactions took place in September 2023, down from 4,999 in September 2022 - a decrease of 7.1%.
• There was a 1.8% decrease in the number of purchases from August 2023 (5,303) to September 2023 (5,205).

September 2023 Real Estate News: Average Selling Prices

• The average sale price for September 2023 was $1,119,428. This is an increase of 3% from September 2022, when it was $1,086,538.
• The average price for homes in the Greater Toronto Area saw a 0.1% decrease compared to the previous month (from $1,133,515 to $1,131,907).

 

 Monthly Market Update: New Listings

• There were 16,258 listings available for September 2023, which is an 44.1% increase from September 2022 (when there were 11,281).
• The sales-to-listings ratio has decreased by 15% from September 2022, from 44% to 29%.

 

Real Estate Market Watch for September 2023: Days On The Market

• The average property spent 30 days on the market, compared to 35 last year - a decrease of 14.3%.
• Listings spent an average of 20 days on the market, which is a 13% decrease from this month last year (when they spent an average of 23).
